A happy and lucky Sulochana (Sulu), a housewife in a suburb of Mumbai, lives with her husband Ashok and their 11-year-old son Pranab, a sales manager for a traditional company that sells uniforms. Sulu is having fun all day, including listening to her favorite radio stations and taking part in every possible contest. Sulu lives her life in a fun and candid never-to-speak attitude. On her usual day, Sulu wins the pressure cooker through a radio contest in which she participated. Little does she know that her trip to her radio station will change her life. By an unexpected incident, she gets a job as an RJ (radio jockey). She’s no ordinary RJ, as she was created to anchor nightly shows that include chatting with unusual people, strangers and lonely souls. Her husband, who has a relentless quarrel at her mid-level job, a precocious child caught up in surprising odds at school, and a woman who has unexpectedly entered the world of radio. Seasoned with music, humor and whimsy, Tumhari Sulu witnesses a world struggling to see the beauty of a housewife’s routine, a marriage put to the test, the so-called ‘simple and ordinary life’.
