Shivakumar (Shivaraj Pandi) (Raghava Lawrence) is a corrupt IPS officer who moves himself to Chennai and abuses his powers to obtain financial gains in unusual ways. In the process, he also encourages a local councilor named GK (Ashutosh Rana), who has become a big headache for Chennai’s commissioner Kirubakaran (Sathyaraj). Shiva has a son, Kiruba, angry at the latter who allegedly killed his mother (Suganya) and just-born sister for his negligence. Kiruba actually left his wife in the hospital to save several families from a riot. Without knowing this, Shiva leaves Kiruba and enters an orphanage where he becomes an IPS officer to avenge his father.
