Storyline:
John Carter, a Civil War veteran who tried to live a normal life in 1868, was “asked” to join the army, but he refused, so he was locked up. He escapes and follows. Eventually, they run towards some Indians and there is a gunfight. Carter seeks refuge in a cave. While there, he meets someone who has some kind of medal. When Carter touched it, he found himself in a place where he could cross incredible heights. He later encountered creatures he had never seen before. He meets a woman who helps him discover that he is on Mars, and he learns that some kind of unrest is going on.
Civil War veterinarian John Carter was transferred to Mars, where he discovered a lush, contrasting planet, the 12-foot-tall Green Barbarians. Seeing that he is a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, to meet Princess Teja Thoris of Helium, who needs a savior.
